With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Beatrice Harris of Dayton, Ohio, who passed away on September 4, 2025 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Winton Hix and Linnie Hix; her husband Clifton Harris; her son-in-law Jeem Newland II; and her siblings, Fred, James, Eliase, Edna Mae, Willie Gray, Claude and Freeman.
She is survived by: her children, Kenny Harris (Brenda), Jim Harris (Ruby), Jean Newman (Jim), David Harris (Kim) and Linda Newland; her grandchildren, Michael Newman, Pam Day, Richie Newman, Jason Harris, Nicholas Harris, Jeem Newland III and Kristy Newland; her great grandchildren, Cameron, Alexis, Haleigh, Landon, Jeem IV, Emma, Harper, Noah, Hudson, Sophia and Penelope; and her sister-in-law Margaret Hix. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
