She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie B. Scott and Lawrence Henry Carr Sr.; her siblings, Lawrence Henry Carr Jr., Fred Ross, Thomas Lee Howard, Julia Chery and Carrie Maye Howard; her daughter Arvetta Elaine Patterson; and her granddaughter Ke'Shawana Iynique Brent.
She is survived by: her daughters, Vernelle Kelly and Ronda Brent; her niece Lavonda Baines; and her grandchildren, Shateeka, Shashanna, Quaneesha, Dameco, Shawn, Lakeesha, Lawanna, Chasity, Tommie, Keeyon, Sonni, Robert III, Amelia, Shyhem, Kiyoji and Keesaun Brent. She is also survived by great grandchildren, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
