Bobby Smith Sr. Obituary

SMITH SR., Mr. Bobby Ray, age 62, of Dayton departed his life on Saturday, August 7, 2010. He was born on August 20, 1947 to the late Rayfield and Gladys Oatis Smith in Silver Creek, MS. He accepted Christ into his life at an early age and became a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Silver Creek. Bobby attended school at McCllough High School in Monticello, MS in 1965.

At the age of 18 yrs. old, he moved to Dayton, OH and later retired from GH&R. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Linda S. Smith; (4) brothers, W. C. Oatis, Johnny H. Poole, Jimmie R. and Levern Smith. He leaves to cherish his memories; his fiance", Nora B. Hill; (1) son, Bobby Ray Smith Jr.; (2) daughters, Bria Nicole Smith and Trina Renee Washington, all of Dayton, OH; (1) sister, Betty D. Smith of Gulfport, MS.; special nephew, Timothy Smith of Gulfport, MS and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services 1:00 P.M., SATURDAY, August 14, 2010 at PROGRESSIVE BAPTIST CHURCH, 4817 W. Third St., with Rev. Ramona Hunter, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment will be held at Jeffersonview Cemetery.
