She was predeceased by: her father Charles E. Brown; and her parents-in-law, Mary Irene Thomas (Hunnel) and Tom J. Thomas. She is survived by: her mother Emma Jean Brown (Abner); her husband Michael Thomas; her daughter Tosha Jordan (Justin); her grandchildren, Jonathan Brown (Mollee), Faith Pierce (John), Hope Jordan (Jacob), Grace Brown and Cori Chasteen; her great grandchildren, Kyllen, Gabriella and Elloise; and her siblings, Charlie Brown and Tonya Stephenson. She is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.

Brenda Jean Thomas will be remembered not only for her contributions to her community but also for the immense love she shared with those around her.
