We announce the death of Byrnece W. Calligan of Dayton, Ohio, who passed away on August 5, 2026, at the age of 99. Byrnece will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Walder and Mary Walder (Vermeulens); her husband Ronald James Calligan, Sr.; and her siblings, Kenneth Walder, Kermit "Buddy" Walder, May Laauwe, Vivian Younger and Marian Welch.
She is survived by: her sons, Ronald J. "Jim" Calligan, Jr. (Darlene), John "Jack" Calligan and Jeff Calligan; her grandsons, John Calligan, Ronald Calligan (Ellen) and Alex Calligan (Jen); her great grandchildren, Bekah, John, Josiah, Lainey, Myles, Vivian, Esther, Aurora, Everly, Lilyana and Madi; and her friends, Marilyn Smith and Brenda Childress. She is also survived by cat "Peanut" and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
