He is survived by: his sons, Joshua and Zachary Coats; his girlfriend Donna Poynter; and his siblings, Tammy Kessler (Doug), Doug Coate (Jenny), Gary Coats (Kim), Ed Coats, Jeff Coats (Cheryl Dennison) and Randy Coats (Holly McMaken). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great‑nieces, and great‑nephews.
