Charis Gridley Obituary
We bid farewell to Charis Gridley (Dayton, Ohio), born in Hazelton, Pennsylvania, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 18, 2025 at the age of 96. Charis touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Charis had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Charis may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her husband Craig Gridley; her daughters, Ann Gridley Cook and Jane Gridley Cote; and her grandson Craig McGinnis. She is survived by: her daughter Pam McGinnis (Carlo); and her friend Bill McCormick. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Westminster Presbyterian Church (125 N Wilkinson St, Dayton, OH 45402).
