He was predeceased by: his parents, James Blanton and Mattie Belle Blanton; his daughter Rhiannon Blanton; and his significant other Vicki McIntosh. He is survived by: his son David Blanton; his grandchildren, Kirsten, David and Ryan Blanton; his great grandchildren, Colt Glass, Cade Blanton and Grady Purdy; his siblings, Mary, Jim T., Glenn and Roy Blanton; and his girlfriend Shirley Criswell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
