He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert J. Brooks and Frances Catherine Sullivan Brooks; the mother of his children Dorothy E. Brooks; and his sisters, Judith Brooks Clemons and Carolyn Young Foley.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Brooks; his children, Kimberly Brooks, Emily Lowe [Tyler], Chloe, Jackson, Joseph Brooks [Lori], Alex, Jacob, Josephine, Olivia, Scarlett, Joshua Brooks [Kimberly], Adia, Kierce, Nigel and Xavier; and his siblings, Anne Phillips [Daryl] and Mark Brooks [Mary]. He is also survived by five great‑grandchildren.
