He was predeceased by: his parents, Lemuel Markland and Elizabeth Markland; his sisters, Bette Morter and Marilyn Scoppe; and his brothers-in-law, Frank Scoppe, Herb Morter, Eddie Luckenbill, Tim Holiga and Tony Holiga.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Markland; his children, Theresa Markland (Ron Myers) and Todd Markland; his grandson Andrew Berger (Courtney Goodman); his sister Barb Luckenbill; and his siblings-in-law, Bud Holiga (Kim) and Mary Holiga. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
