He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Poeppelmeier (Smith); his children, Rusty Poeppelmeier (Georgette) and Chad Poeppelmeier (Becki); and his grandchildren, Jaden, Warren, Chase and Eliza Poeppelmeier.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul which Dave was an active volunteer.
