He is survived by: his children, Jason Smith (Kerry), Kristen Kovacs (AJ) and Kari O'Hara (Pete) of Raleigh, NC; his grandchildren, Rylee, Kailey Smith, Alex Kovacs, John-David and Poppy O'Hara; and his siblings, Carolyn DeGallery and Mike Smith (Vicki).
