She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert McDermott and Margaret McDermott (Saunders); and her siblings, David McDermott and Cathy Denardo. She is survived by: her husband William Placke (Bill); her children, Brian Placke, Laura Placke and Amanda Anderson (Evan); her grandchildren, Amara Conn, Samuel Placke, Evan D Anderson, Hailey Anderson, Miles Anderson, Matthew Cooper and Rue Anderson; and her sister Vicki Moeller (Joe).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Debbie's memory to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society of Greater Dayton.
