He is survived by : his wife Beth Lucinda "Cindy" Foster-Cain; his former life partner Judy Carnes; his sister Rita Grow (Gary Johnson); his sister-in-law Rhonda Rhoades (Michelle Cain); his children, Joshua Cain, Paula Brinkman (Theo), Stephanie McClure (Ricky Nira), Lindsay Cain (Douglas Fox), Anna Helfen (Allen) and Christopher Foster; his grandsons, Eric McClure, Andrew Nira and Nathaniel Nira; his nephew Andy Grow; and his niece Holly Hill (Jason).

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (200 Clay St, Bradford, OH 45308). A burial was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at the Miami Memorial Park (7875 N Crescent Rd, Covington, OH 45318).
