Douglas E. Whitford Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas E. Whitford of Dayton, Ohio, who passed away on January 30, 2026, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Whitford and Beatrice Whitford; and his stepmother Gloria Whitford. He is survived by: his wife Carol Whitford; his children, Laura Whitford Poore (Nathan Poore) and Zachariah Whitford; his grandsons, Lucas and Oliver Whitford; his brothers, Bob Merritt (Bev), Ron Merritt (Shelia) and Roger Whitford (Reeta); his nieces and nephews, Shannon Merritt, Brandon Whitford, Miranda Merritt, Alex Merritt, Lauren Hodges and Mitch Baker; and his friend Pink Floyd.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Doug's memory to Hospice of Dayton.
