He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Porter and Dorothy Porter; his brothers, Larry and Doug Porter; and his nephew Marshall Porter.
He is survived by: his wife Joy; his daughter Andrea Kuperman (Jereme); his grandchildren, Ava, Zeb and Levi; and his brothers, Charles Porter (Brenda), Dwight Porter (Michell) and Paul Porter (Stephanie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
