He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Converse and Joseph Sterling. He is survived by: his wife Annie Sterling; his children, Elvin S. Sterling (Adina Sterling) and Yolanda S. West (Wilbert West); and his grandchildren, Quinton Sterling, Naila Sterling and Gabrielle West.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 27th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Enon Missionary Baptist Church (1501 W Third St, Dayton, OH 45402). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, March 27th 2026 at the Woodland Cemetery (118 Woodland Ave, Dayton, OH 45409).
