He is survived by: his parent Shirley Aldridge; his sisters, Tanya Hogan (Keith) and Danielle Byrd; his nieces and nephews, Joseph Martin, Kenyon Byrd, Donica Cooley and Kennedy Byrd; his great-nephew Rylan Moreland; his great-niece River Lakes; his uncles, James Martin and Bruce Mitchell; his aunt Linda Smith; and his close friend Monica Williamson. He is also survived by cousins, extended family, and many dear friends.
In his passing, Gene gave the ultimate gift of life through organ donation, blessing others with healing, strength, and renewed hope.
