Florrie L. Brackett Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Florrie L. Brackett of Dayton, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 22, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carrie Black Spearman and Bruce Spearman; her husband Sammie Brackett; her daughter Wendy D. Burdette; her grandsons, Seth and Robert Burdette; her brother James G Spearman; her cousin James Bell; her friend Mary Taylor; and her pet Sugar.
She is survived by: her sons, Thomas L. Nichols Jr. (D'Andrea) and Hubert Burdette Jr.; her grandchildren, Thomas III, Telsia Florrie, JaMichael, Lazarus, Elijah, Demond, Hubert III, Ondriel (Lance), Dontae (Tamara) and Demetrius; and her sibling's children, James Jr., JaKim and JaWanna. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church (27 N Gettysburg Ave, Dayton, OH 45417). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
