He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Smith and Maggie Smith (Clara B. Smith); and his siblings, Cecil Smith Jr., Russell Smith, Thomas Smith, Sarah Black, Elizabeth Jones, Mattie Sutton and Rosa Shaw.
He is survived by: his granddaughters, Nakia Clark and Erica Clark; his great grandchildren, Dorian Pierce Jr. and Paris Coogler; his children, Frazier Pitts, Sheila Smith, Karen Wright (Lester) and Pamela Harris (Roderick Sr.); his siblings, Robert Smith (Armon), Lillian Walker of Dayton, Cecilia Burdette of Dayton and Mary Wilder (James) of Dayton; his sister-in-law Patricia Whrighter; and his grandchildren, Roderick Harris Jr., CoCo Cochran, Frazier Cochran, Nicole Cochran and Ronie Cochran. He is also survived by loving great grandchildren, in laws, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
