He was predeceased by: his parents, Holmes Ruggles and Marjorie Ruggles; and his wife Sandra Ruggles. He is survived by: his sons, Brian (Margaret) and Doug (Krisha); and his grandchildren, Nolan, Evan, Owen, Brendan, Kenna, Kyla and Keilan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
