Gary will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. He was predeceased by: his father Arnold Deaton; and his son James Scott "Scotty" Deaton. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Sturr; his mother Christine Deaton; his stepsons, Robert Bair Jr. (Jara) and Jeffrey Bair (Amy); his cousins, Patty Woodbury and Angie Voris; his friend Tim Schwab; and his pet Quinn. He is also survived by aunts and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 21st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Milton Athletic Club (640 Cosler Dr, Dayton, OH 45403).
