She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Wright (Ronald), Gerald Murphy II (Debbie), Bruce Murphy (Veronica), Molly Fuchs (Dave) and Eric Murphy (Emily). She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Her dedication to nursing was so well known that even in her 90s, during the COVID-19 pandemic, physicians reached out to ask if she would consider returning to work.
