With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gracie Mae Burnett of Dayton, Ohio, born in Hitchins, Kentucky, who passed away on November 5, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Jackson and Lottie Jackson; and her husband James Burnett. She is survived by: her daughters, LaDonna Brown (Greg) and Tonya Carnes; and her grandchildren, Heather Schoettmer (Gary), Lori Ferguson (Brent), Leah O'Connor, Brandi Wagers (Bo), William Powell, Stephanie Powell and Hannah Powell. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Tobias Funeral Home (3970 Dayton Xenia Rd, Dayton, OH 45432). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 at the Valley View Memorial Gardens (170 N Valley Rd, Xenia, OH 45385).
