He was predeceased by: his parents, Oakley McKinniss and Marcella McKinniss (Estler); his son David McKinniss; his daughter-in-law Shelly McKinniss; his brothers, Ike McKinniss, Wayne McKinniss and Jerry McKinniss; and his siblings-in-law, Doug Woodruff, Mickey Stout and Sheila Kepler.
He is survived by: his wife Carol McKinniss; his children, Harold "Pete" McKinniss Jr. (Crystal) and Tammy McKinniss; his grandchildren, Justin (Amber), Petey (Britni), Makayla (Trent), Alex (Halie), Mikayla (Shane) and Lexi (Aaron); his great grandchildren, Daisy, Colton, Kylar, Reese and Emry; his siblings, Donna Comley, Debrah Emberson (Kenny), Bennie McKinniss (Vicki) and Nyla Palmer; his sister-in-law Sharon Woodruff (Joyce Stout); and his friend Joey Holloway. He is also survived by several other family members and friends.
