He is survived by: his wife Barbara Collins; his children, Jim Collins Jr. (Carol), Kimberly Wolfe (Jeff) and Tina Spencer; his stepchildren, Brian West (Amrita), David West (Krista) and Betsy Suver (Matt); his sister Joan Wilson; his grandchildren, Kevin, Sean Collins, Jordan Hiers (Austin), Taylor Wolfe, Jessica Black, Josh Spencer (Jeri), Zach Spencer (Kristen), Avery, Evan Suver and Nikash West; his great grandchildren, Rhylee Black, Charlie Grace Hiers, Sophia, Flynn Spencer, Ethan, Alex and Bella Myers; and his pet Teddy.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Tobias Funeral Home - Far Hills Chapel (5471 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, OH 45429). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Tobias Funeral Home – Far Hills Chapel (5471 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, OH 45429). Not one to sit still, he became a part-time driver for St. Leonard Living Center, and once COVID hit, switched over to delivering groceries for Dorothy Lane Market.
