He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Wence and Mildred Wence (O' Haver); his wife Ruby Wentz (Baker); his son Jeff Wentz; and his siblings, Garland, Eunice, Norma and JoAnn.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Wentz (Alma), Robert Wentz (Reina), James M. Wentz, Gregory Wentz, Todd Wentz (Christopher) and Laura Parsons; his daughter-in-law Debbie Wentz; and his sister Patricia Dawicke. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a Veterans Charity of Choice.
