He was predeceased by: his parents, Damon Leonard and Christine Leonard (Hall); his brother Gary Leonard; and his brothers-in-law, John Molina and John McGarvey.

He is survived by: his wife Jackie McGarvey; his siblings, Charles Leonard (Shirlene) and Beverly Kirk; his father-in-law Jack McGarvey; and his close friend Cheyenne.
