Though James may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Rakestraw and Earl Rakestraw; his siblings, Robert and Eleanor; and his grandchildren, Brian and Sara.
He is survived by: his wife Janet (McQuate); his sister Evelyn Partlow; and his children, Michael Rakestraw (Sue), Teri Dick (Paul) and Amy Iker (Fred). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
