He was predeceased by: his parents, Russ Whiteman and Arline Whiteman. He is survived by: his sisters, Anita Whiteman of Georgia and Karla Brightman (Ken Jr.) of Kettering; and his nephews, Kenny Brightman III and Kyle Brightman (Diana).

The family would prefer a donation in Jan's memory to Hospice of Dayton in lieu of sending flowers.
