She was predeceased by: her husband Edwin Frank Calkins Jr.; her parents, Thelma Groce and Harold Gaston; her sister Marilyn Jordan; and her stepsiblings, Diane Schaeffer, Dottie Ford and Gary Groce.

She is survived by: her children, Laura Calkins (Tammy Bash) and Keith Calkins (Christine); and her grandchildren, Lindsey Burleson (David), Tyler Calkins, Emily Buerschen (Isaac Williams), Kaity Kiser, Natalie Buerschen and Andrea Calkins.
