We announce the death of Jesse Melton of Dayton, Ohio, born in Hazard, Kentucky, who passed away on June 12, 2026, at the age of 76. Jesse will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Earl Melton, Jr. and Laura Melton (Eversole); his wife Judy Melton; his sisters, Geraldine Humphrey and Earline Ritchie; and his nephew Donnie Ritchie.
He is survived by: his sisters, Karen (Tony Collins) and Linda (Nathaniel Quisenberry); and his stepson Jerry (Kathy). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
