He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Chestnut and Martha B. Chestnut (Miller); his wife Judith "Judy" Chestnut (Bicknell); and his siblings, Mary Ann Mix, Patricia "Pat" LeDonne, William "Randy" Chestnut, George "Bud" Chestnut and Dennis "Denny" Chestnut.
He is survived by: his daughter Kathy Tacinelli (Don Cope); his grandchildren, Laura Sweney (Kyle) and Aaron Tacinelli (Katharina Donn); his great grandchildren, Sabrina Sweney, Raphael Donn-Tacinelli and Klara Donn-Tacinelli; and his sister-in-law Wanda Chestnut. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and neighbors.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to Hospice of Dayton in memory of John.
