He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Lewis Higgins and Ruby Smith Higgins. He is survived by: his wife Christina (D'Agostino); his daughters, Lauren Meier and Kara Lewis (Ben); his stepson Alec Livada (Tatiana); his grandchildren, Nicoletta Meier, Nora, Poppy Lewis, Luca and Hugo Livada; his brother Thomas Higgins (Marylou); and his nephews, Michael Higgins (Kari) and Patrick Higgins (Cari). He is also survived by grand nieces and nephews and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in John's name to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton.
