He was predeceased by: his parents, William Crummie and Celeste Crummie; his wife Dorothy L. Perry; and his sons, John L. Perry Jr., Henderson Perry and Joe Perry.
He is survived by: his children, Marcia Denise Hood (Greg) of Cleveland, OH, Anthony Perry (Gail) of Columbus, OH and Jerome Perry of Tuscaloosa, AL. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
