With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joy Mantia of Dayton, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 26, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Garret and Lois Garret. She is survived by: her husband Terry Gruver; her children, Mary Henry (Phil), Teresa Vadnais (Gene), Robert Mantia (Monica) and Nicholas Mantia (Lisa); her grandchildren, Meredith McFarland (Matthew), Molly Henry, Emily Vadnais, Candace Kurtz (Paul), Brittany Monk (Ethan), Morgan Trimboli (John), Leah Williams, Lydia Vadnais, Robert Vadnais, Paul Henry, Jacob Vadnais, Nicholas Mantia (Jill) and Russell Mantia; and her great grandchildren, Jack McFarland, Zora McFarland, Ophelia Kurtz, Olive Kurtz, Boden Monk, Vincent Monk, Marshall Williams, Cordelia Williams and Dominico Trimboli.
