We are sad to announce that on December 19, 2022, at the age of 93, LaVera H. Brown of Dayton, Ohio, born in Jackson, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. James Relner Grimes and Ocie Merriwether Grimes; and her siblings, Doris Johnson (William), Albert B. Grimes, Ray F. Grimes, Dewey Grimes and Harold D. Grimes.

She is survived by: her daughter LaQuita Henry; and her brother James R. Grimes, Jr.. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and special friends.
