He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Boyd-Dean (Dink) and Lela Boyd-Dean; his wife Leanna Dean; his son Terry L. Dean; his brothers, Nathaniel and Willie Dean; his son-in-law Joseph Seldon; and his sister-in-law Lucielle Dean.
He is survived by: his children, Rev. Leonard F. Dean Jr., Gary L. Dean Sr., Perry S. Dean and Mable D. Seldon; his sisters, Pauline and Madaline Dean of Hamilton, OH; his grandchildren, Gary L. Dean Jr. of Orlando, FL, Dr. Rashida L. Weaver (Gregory) of Houston, TX, Leonia Glanton of Centerville, OH and Shatwanna Dean of Orlando, FL; and his nieces, Judy, Lucy and Ann Reid. He is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and close friends.
