He was predeceased by: his wife Pearlie Witt; his granddaughter Amanda Nicole; his parents, William L. and Martha Jane Witt; and his siblings, Elvin Jr., Elmer Jr., Theo Jr., William Witt Jr., Oma Howard, Rose Nantz and Sarah Nantz.

He is survived by: his children, Travis Witt (Debi), Harold Witt (Diane) and Charlotte Abney (Mike); his grandchildren, Travis (Kim), Matthew (Tara), Jaclyn, Tatum (Nick), Stephanie (Mike) and Erin (Steven); his great grandchildren, Sophia of Jordyn, Gracelyn, Hadley, Camilla, Kaleb, Halle, Kamdyn and Maddie; and his sister Lois Hoskins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
