Mary C. Franks Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary C. Franks in Dayton, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 14, 2025 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Schwarzman and Leona Schwarzman; her husband George J. Franks; her son George E. Franks; her siblings, Bernard, Donald, Victor, Clement, Marjorie Fisher and Vera Franz; and her sisters-in-law, N. D., Sister Charlotte and Alice Seibert.
She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth Franks (Ruth) and Thomas Franks (Marcia); her grandchildren, Scott Franks, Sean McGarvey (Heather), Michelle Franks, Jennifer Franks, Heather Wilson (Josh), Brian Smith (Julie) and Dwight Smith (Becky); and her sisters-in-law, Harriet Schwarzman and Carolyn Ricker.
Her contributions to the community extended beyond her career; she was a charter member of the National Catholic Society of Foresters Court 717 and an active participant in the St. Helen Altar Rosary and St Helen Leisure Club & Immaculate Conception Free Spirits.
