He is survived by: his son Adrian Michael Dowell; his siblings, Donald Hall (Sylvia), Dewitt Dowell, Terry Dowell (Daphne), Olivia Knight, Carolyn Lee, Cynthia Payne (Alfred) and Pamela Thomas (Robert); his aunt Carolyn Borum; and his uncle Walter Seldon Sr.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.
