It is with sadness that the passing of Nan Van Gundy (Dayton, Ohio) is shared. Nan, born on September 9, 1953, passed away on October 19, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Darwin Robinette and Thelma Robinette of Rushville, Ohio; her brother Mike Robinette of Rushville, Ohio; and her in-law A. B. Van Gundy of Lancaster, Ohio.. She is survived by: her husband Ralph Van Gundy; her son Andrew; and her siblings, Peggy DeJarnatt (Robinette) of Missouri, Jill Adams (Robinette) of Colorado, Paul Robinette of Alaska and Jon Robinette of California.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Please, no flowers. The family suggests memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association. Urge Congress to pass the bipartisan Alzheimer's Screening and Prevention (ASAP) Act, which would provide Medicare coverage for qualifying FDA-approved and FDA-cleared tests capable of detecting Alzheimer's disease before symptoms appear.
