It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Opal Stockslager of Dayton, Ohio, who passed away on January 15, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Abia and Kathryn Margaret Harshbarger (Oburn); her husband James W. Stockslager; her daughter Jill Stockslager; and her siblings, Lois Hohn (Doug), Norene Hogle (DeWitt), Marcus Harshbarger, Jim Harshbarger and Jane Garber.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Stockslager of Atlanta, GA, Jane Height (Jay) of Indianapolis, IN and Judy Kahler (Bart) of Dayton; her sister Nancy Noonan (Tom) of Millbrook, NY; and her siblings-in-law, Leland Garber of St. Paris, OH and Ruthie Harshbarger of Big Canoe, GA.. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
