He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard W. Deitz and Mary Deitz (Burchett); and his sisters, Thea "Renee" Wilson and Toni Deitz. He is survived by : his children, Amber Deitz (Adam Garrett), Charlie Kelty (Tanner Coning) and Shawn Deitz Kreger; his grandchildren, Ava and Liam Kelty; the mothers of children, Tina Harner and Karen Kreger; his close friends, John Clinger and Mike Gross; and his son-in-law Chris Kelty. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Newcomer - North Dayton Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
