It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard J. Lampley III (Dayton, Ohio), born in Middletown, Ohio, who passed away on August 26, 2022, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Lampley and Inellie Lampley (Rowe); his siblings, Hattie Mae Johnson and Edward F. Lampley (Forty); his brothers-in-law, Charlie Bee Johnson, Frankie Carr and Howard Ferguson; and his nephew Damon Charles Johnson.
He is survived by: his friend David Bailey; his children, R. LaVelle Russell (Heather) of Middletown, OH and Rene L. A. Russell-Reed (Dion) of Fairfield, OH; his grandchildren, Brittany D. Flagg, Keir LaVelle Powell-Russell and Alure Marie Powell-Russell; his great grandchild H. Kaiden Smalls; and his sisters, Elmeania Lampley of Denver, Colorado, Twania Carr-Ferguson, Elreathia Cliffie Lampley-Neal of Decatur, Georgia and Valentina Pearson of Middletown, Ohio. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
