He was predeceased by: his parents, Vinson Adkins and Betty Bowling Adkins; and his siblings, Ray Adkins and Brenda Spencer. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Adkins; his son Christopher Adkins; his sisters, Helen "Susie" Matheny (Guy) and Patricia Bush; and his friends, Jesse and Gail. He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews.

Contributions may be made in Rick's memory to either St. Jude Children's Hospital for Cancer Research or to any animal organization of your choice.
