We are sad to announce that on February 4, 2019, at the age of 86, Robert A. Schmid (Dayton, Ohio) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his wife Genevieve "Genny" Pellow Schmid; his parents, Albert C. Schmid and Bernadette Ahlers Schmid; his sisters, Mary Wiggenhorn, Ruth Andrews, Margaret Hjelmeland and Teresa Wendling; and his granddaughters, Jacqueline and Michelle Marks.

He is survived by : his son Bill Schmid (Alice); his grandchildren, Audrey Schmid (Sean McGhee) and Laura Glisson (Joe); his great grandchild Dallan Glisson of Melanie Schmid; his daughter Geri Marks (Bob); his grandchildren, Christopher Marks (Jennifer) and Sarah Rogers (Scott); his daughter Marie Mee (Jeff); his grandchildren, Matthew and Emma Mee; his son Mike Schmid (Teresa); his grandchild Erika Boudreaux (Andrew); his great grandchildren, Elora Stepp, Orion Boudreaux and Heidi Newman (Chris); his son Paul Schmid (Catherine); his grandchild Anika Schmid; his children, Joe Schmid (Laura Collopy) and Julie Ehrlich (David); his grandchildren, Genevieve and Kirsten Ehrlich; his daughter Christine Engels (Rick); his sisters, Marti Fischer (Jim) and Gini Becker (Don); and his brothers-in-law, Julian Andrews, Dick Wiggenhorn and Dave Hjelmeland. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hospice of Dayton.
