He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Leis, Sr. and Betty Bausman Leis; his grandmother Helen Young Bausman; his wife Barbara Leis; his daughter Deborah Ann Duffield; and his siblings, Beverly Ann Leis, Jim Leis, Linda Pernicka and John Clay "Bimbo" Kelly.
He is survived by: his daughters, Nancy Bozeman, Michelle Leis and Penny Duffield; his siblings, Michael Leis (Janet), Donna Leis Amann, Betty Leis Harman (John), Steve Bailey (Sharon), Floyd Bud Leis (Connie), Linda Leis Adams (Phil) and Shawn Leis (Kacy); his uncle Jerry Bausman; and his grandchildren, Ronda, Jeronda and Rockson. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
