He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Douglas and Bessie Douglas; his siblings, Robert Jr., Kirk, Carson, Carl Douglas, Scarlet Daughtery and Janet Jordan; his grandchild Tai Barksdale; and his former wife Eula Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Rod Jr., Zarion Malik Douglas (Whitney), Jarrette Allen, Ebony Carter, Renee Hespeth and Tyesha Allen-Barkdale (David); his sister Blanche Williams; his grandchildren, Deshawn Hall Jr., DaMier Hall, Derricka Kingsman, Dae'len Douglas, Malik Thomas and Zynn Douglas; his sister-in-law Jackie Douglas; and his friend Twanda Allen. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
