He was predeceased by: his mother Mildred Hunter; his grandparents, Helen M. Hunter and James W. Hunter; his aunt Betty C. Valentine (Hunter); and his uncles, James W. Hunter Jr., Ira Lee Hunter and LaVern Q. Hunter.

He is survived by: his sister Brenda; and his cousins, Bruce Hunter Sr. (Olivia), Helen Saracina (Potito) and Eddie Sanks. He is also survived by other cousins, extended family and friends.
